What is a burpee?
It is an absorbent material or cloth diaper used to wipe spit up and protect clothes from spit up while burping the baby. These burpees are fancy boutique quality. Another words, a cute and fancy way to wipe spit up!
What are my choices?
I offer 2 choices:
1.) My premium burpees are hand-dyed Indian prefold diapers that have a designer fabric strip that is sewn onto the diaper using a triple, zigzag, or decorative stitch.
2.) My 6-ply burpees are hand-dyed 6 ply diapers that have a designer fabric strip that is sewn onto the diaper using a triple, zigzag, or decorative stitch. The 6-ply are soft, flat, and absorbant, yet do not have the quilt like feature.
How long before I get my burpees?
Turn around time usually takes 1-2 weeks from ordering to shipping. Larger orders (>15-20) may take longer. So, please plan accordingly, including shipping time.
Why is a premium burpee so pricey as compared to the 6-ply?
The quality of diaper (Indian Prefolds), hand-dyed effect, and designer fabric selection are the culprits. It is a time consuming process to complete. I hand dye all diapers. Colors are made in batches.
How do I change the quantity of my selections?
The checkout will allow for quantity selection and changes.
What color choices can I expect when I order a burpee?
Currently, you may choose for a Boy, Girl, Neutral (boy or girl) with either dye or no dye color (white or natural cream). The dye colors are fabulous, one of a kind, and vary due to the dye lot...chocolate brown, hot pink, soft pink, chartreuse, lime, varying shades of blue, fire engine red, lemon yellow, etc. If you pick no dye; you will get a white or cream color premium burpee with an awesome fabric choice. Note: At this time, I am unable to offer total customization. If you have a particular theme or color request, enter that during checkout under comments, however, due to availability, I cannot guarantee the request.
What is a typical order for a baby shower?
Some babies spit up... a lot!! I have found that initial orders are for 4-5. Then shortly thereafter, they want more as soon as possible!! For example, if your order is for 5 Girl Dye burpees, you will get multiple colors like pink, yellow, brown, and cream. I found that having a neutral or two in any bunch unifies the group.
How do I launder the burpees?
They will come prewashed and ironed, however, due to handling, wash in cold water with like colors before use. It is suggested by the manufacturer, not to use fabric softener or dryer sheets as they may cause the diaper to be less absorbent. These diapers are very soft and quilt like.
